Add 1 t. maple flavoring to one recipe raised doughnut dough.
Filling:
2 T. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. maple flavoring
1/3 c. chopped nuts
Glaze:
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 t. maple flavoring
2 T. milk

Let dough raise; punch down. Grease round 12 inch pizza pan. Divide dough into 3 balls. Roll out a ball to fit the pan. Brush dough with 2 T. melted butter and sprinkle with 1/3 of filling mixture. Roll next 2 balls to fit pan putting 1/3 c. filling between each layer and end with filling. Use a glass to make a 2 inch circle in center of dough; don't cut. Cut from outside edge to circle forming 16 pie-shaped wedges. Twist each wedge 5 times. Let raise until double; about 30 to 45 minutes. Bake at 375º for 17 to 20 minutes. Drizzle with glaze.
