1 cup oil or butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 whole eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped cooked prunes
1 cup chopped black walnuts


Hot Icing
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 T. Karo syrup
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend oil or butter and sugar then add all dry ingredients and to that mix in the prunes and walnuts. Pour into un-greased 9x13 or slightly larger pan. Bake 325º until cake springs back when touched in center. While cake is still warm pour Hot Icing over.
Cook to a soft ball the Icing ingredients and pour over cake.
