1 medium head of cabbage
1 c. rice, cooked
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 egg
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can tomato soup
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce OR
1 (14.5 oz.) can stewed tomatoes

Steam cabbage until limp, cool, then cut the rib out. Mix beef, pork, egg, onion, salt, pepper, garlic, and cooked rice. Roll meat the size of an egg onto the cabbage leaf, place in bottom of greased casserole dish.

Mix tomato soup and tomato sauce OR stewed tomatoes. Pour over cabbage rolls. Bake at 350º for 1 to 1 1/2 hours with cover on.

Serve with mashed potatoes. Tomato sauce could be thickened for a gravy.
