1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
6 oz. can sliced mushrooms
1 large can tomato paste
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 large can stewed tomatoes
oregano (ground)
basil (ground)
garlic powder
onion powder
1 large box lasagna noodles
1 large container Ricotta
2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Fry hamburger meat. Add salt and pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste. Add drained mushrooms: heat again. Mix in Riccotta. Set aside. Stir tomato paste on low heat till bubbling, stirring constantly. Add brown sugar slowly. It will start to lightly brown the tomato paste. Cook about 4 minutes, then add oregano and basil to taste. Use sparingly - it's heavy. Then add 2 cups water: stir in stewed tomatoes. Cook for 15 minustes, adding water til desired thickness. (It needs to be kind of thick.) Boil noodles. Layer in glass dish - sauce, then noodles, meat sauce; sprinkle with Mozzarella. Repeat 3 times, ending with noodles then sauce then Mozzarella.
