1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed bananas
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 egg
2 T. milk
1 c. nuts (optional)

Melt over hot (not boiling) water 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. Remove from heat. Sift together 1 c. flour, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/4 tsp. salt, 3/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. baking soda; set aside.
Combine in bowl: 1 c. bananas (mashed), 1/4 c. butter or margarine, beat till creamy. Beat 1 egg. Add flour mixture alternately with 2 T. milk. Blend well after each addition. Stir in melted chocolate, 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional). Spread in greased and floured 13x9x2 in. pan.

Bake 350º for 25 minutes.


Cool. Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
