1 1/4 c sugar
1 stick butter, softened ( don't melt)
2 eggs
2 c All Bran Cereal Original
1 c All Bran Cereal Buds
1 c boiling water
2 c buttermilk
2 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 c plain flour
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour hot water over the bran buds and let soak. Mix butter and sugar with an electric mixer, add eggs and buttermilk and mix well with the mixer. With a wooden spoon fold in the rest of the ingredients including the bran buds that were soaking. They should be like mush. Bake 350º for 20 min in muffin tins rubbed with cooking oil or spray.

This keeps in the refrigerator for 6 weeks so you can just make what you want right then. This is from Grandma Silker . I like to serve these with strawberry butter
