3 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 c. milk
2 T. vegetable oil
3/4 c. snipped gumdrops
1/2 c. chopped walnuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Combine egg, milk, and oil. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Fold in gumdrops and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake about 1 hour. Remove from pan immediately; cool thoroughly.
