1 med. onion, chopped
2 T. butter
2 (15 oz.) cans diced tomatoes with juice
2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans condensed tomato soup
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. sugar
1/2-1 tsp. dried basil
1/2-1 tsp. paprika
1/8-1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed

Directions:
In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in tomatoes, soup, milk, sugar, herbs and spices. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in cream cheese cubes until melted. Makes 2 quarts.
