1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. milk, 1 tsp. salt, 2 eggs, 2 pkg. or 2 scant T. of yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 1 T. sugar, 4-5 c. flour.

Directions:
Bake at 350º for 25 minutes or until brown.
Mix water, yeast, and 1 T. sugar; let rise. Warm milk and melt shortening. Mix together. Add sugar, salt and eggs. Mix well until sugar is dissolved. Mix flour in until stiff. (I do all of this in my Kitchenaid). Let rise until double. Grease 9x13 with shortening. Divide the dough into 12 balls and place in pan. After removing the rolls from oven brush with butter.
