9 inch baked pie shell
6 c. strawberries, stemmed and halved
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. corn starch
1/2 c. water
1-3 oz. pkg. cream cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Mash enough strawberries to equal 1 cup. Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Stir in water and mashed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Cool completely.
Spread cream cheese on bottom of cool pie shell. Fill shell with the remaining strawberries. Pour cooked and cooled strawberry mixture over the top. Refrigerate until set (3 hours).
