2 c. AP flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Place in blender:
1 large orange (juice and rind) *
1 c. sugar *
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs

1 c. raisins, light colored
3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk

Mix dry ingreds. together in a large bowl.

Squeeze juice from orange* and add 1 c. sugar* to it. Set this aside to use on top of cake later.

Cut rind and pulp of orange into eighths and blend along with butter, 1 c. sugar (yes this is a 2nd amount of sugar), and eggs, until rind is finely chopped. Now add sour milk and raisins to blender mixture. Blend until raisins are finely chopped. Turn this blender mixture into flour mixture in a bowl. Stir until all is mixed and batter is smooth. Bake in 9" x 9" pan for 40 mins. at 350º. When done, spoon orange juice mixture on top. Put under broiler for a few mins.
