2 lbs. yellow squash
1 lb. zucchini
1 c. water
1 T. sugar
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
4 to 6 slices bacon, crumbled (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. cheese, grated
1/4 c. margarine
sliced tomatoes
bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook squash, zucchini, onion and salt in the water for 20 mins. and drain it well. Mix with the other ingreds. and place in greased 2 qt. casserole. Bake for 20 mins. at 300 degrees.
Top with slices of tomatoes and add bread crumbs. Cover and cook 10 more mins.
