3/4 c. unsalted butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
Sugar for sprinkling

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º F. Lightly butter baking sheet.
Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar & work until soft & light. Stir in flour quickly & vigorously to make a soft dough. Press dough onto baking sheet about 3/4" thick. Cut into bars about 1 x 3". Prick dough all over with a fork, sprinkle generously with sugar. Bake 15 - 20 min. or until very lightly browned.
Cool on baking sheet. Separate bars.
