1 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups Quaker Oats (Quick or Old Fashioned, uncooked)
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 cup holiday candy coated chocolate pieces or Colored chips
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:

Heat oven to 350º F. Beat first six ingredients until smooth. Add combined oats, flour, soda and salt; mix well. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy or 10 to 12 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes; remove to wire rack. Cool completely.
