1 cup butter or margarine (2 sticks)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup shredded coconut (packed tightly)
6 cups corn flakes

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Gradually add the granulated and brown sugar, and mix thoroughly. Add the 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and beat together until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl. Sift together 3 times the 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and the 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Add to the butter mixture, and mix well. Add the 1 cup shredded coconut and 6 cups cornflakes and mix well. Batter will be firm - mix with large wooden spoon.
Preheat oven to 350º. Shape into balls the size of walnuts and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Place on center rack in oven, and bake for about 9 - 10 minutes, or until top of cookies look golden brown.
