1 1/2 cups hot milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. yeast
1 cup flour
Mix, raise until light.
Add 1 beaten egg, 2 cups flour and knead. Will be very soft.

Let rise again for 15 minutes and roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Spread with melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and 1/4 cup currants.
Roll and cut 3/4 inch thick. Place in greased pan, let rise again, bake at 400º for 15 - 20 minutes.

Makes about 12 - 15 rolls

Currants were grown in extra yard space, used for jelly and dried for later use. Commonly used in place of raisins in fruit cakes, etc.
