1 c. AP Flour
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg yeast, dry pack
1 1/2 c. milk
2 T. butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. ww flour
3/4 - 1 1/2 c. AP flour
Toppings: melted butter/sesame seeds or other

Directions:
Combine in large mixing bowl, 1 c. AP flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Add the butter to the milk in a pan and heat to warm or 120º on stove top. Butter does not have to melt. Add egg and warm liquid to flour mixture and beat at low speed for 1/2 min. Then beat 3 mins. at med. speed. Stir in the flour adding until forms a stiff dough. Knead about 8 mins. Place in greased bowl. Roll around so all sides get greased. Cover, let rise 45 mins. Punch down. Using sharp scissors or knives, cut into 30-40 walnut size pieces. Place one layer of dough pieces in pan touching each other and spoon on butter and seeds mixture. Keep doing layers or make 2 pans full by using single layer. Let rise 45 mins. covered with a tea towel. Bake at 400º for 25 to 35 mins. Note: single layer will need less baking time. Cool 5 mins before removing from pan.

You can change the taste by adding garlic, and cheese or another idea is chopped nuts,cinnamon, butter and sugar in place of butter and seeds.
