1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter
1/2 c oil or shortening
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix ingredients well. Roll to desired thickness. Cut out. Bake at 325º for 8-10 mins. Can sprinkle on sugar in colors before baking.

This receipe came with a cookie mold. It tastes wonderful! Taste like shortbread. Can use cardboard for unique shapes if you do not have a cookie cutter for the shape you want. You can make twists or wreaths.
