Everyone's favorite! This has been served at the Hanson family Thanksgivings for as long as I remember! Kids always love this while the adults would eat broccoli or cauliflower with cheese sauce! I always ate both! In 1998 the entire Hanson family assembled in Lisbon at Kathleen and my house. I had planned the typical Bohemian/Irish styled dinner that Grandma Short would have served. We had Turkey, dumplins, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy and all of the fixin's! About an hour before dinner my niece, Kate, asked where the green bean casserole was. It's a darn good thing that the ingredients for this were on hand. We whipped it up and everyone was happy!
