1 bag frozen hash browns
1 can cream of mushroom soup
8 oz sour cream
3 cups shredded cheddar (I use sharp)
1 large onion, chopped
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º.
Melt butter.
Spread hash browns in a greased 9x13 pan.
Mix sour cream, 1/2 the melted butter, cheese, cream of mushroom soup and onion in a large bowl.
Top potatoes with mixture.
Cover with other half of butter.
Bake 1 hour.
