1 1/2 cups slow cooking oatmeal
2 tsp. salt
2 cups boiling water
1 yeast cake or 2 pkgs.
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup lukewarm water
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix oats, salt and sugar. Pour boiling water over and let stand until lukewarm. Add yeast dissolved in water with a little sugar. Add flour, knead slightly.
let rise 2 hours. Knead thoroughly. Form into 2 loaves and place in greased pans.

This recipe did not have baking instructions. Most bread recipes call for 350º for 35-40 minutes. This is another from my Gramma Drabert's Recipe box that I do not remember her making but sounds good.
