1/2 stick oleo
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix and put in greased 9X9 pan.
Cover with:
2 cups fruit
2/3 cup white sugar
1 cup cold water

Bake at 375º for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Mom and Gramma Drabert made this a lot with peaches or blackberries we used to pick up Becker Hollow. We used to hang coffee cans around our necks with wire. I am not sure where this recipe originated, the Goodman-Bigley side or the Dingman-Drabert side.
