1/3 c light corn syrup
1/4 c softened butter
1 tsp peppermint extract or 1/4 tsp peppermint oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 lb sifted powdered sugar
red or green food coloring or whatever color suits your needs.

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together the syrup, the butter and the extract/oil and salt.
Add the powdered sugar. Mix with hands or spoon. Divide into 3 or more balls. 1 with red, 1 with green and leave 1 white (Christmas time).
Shape into 1/2" balls and flatten with fork on wax paper. Let dry for several hours.
