½ c. Shortening
¾ c. Peanut Butter
1/3 c. Sugar
1/3 c. Brown Sugar (packed)
1 Egg
2 tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1½ c. all-purpose Flour
½ tsp. Baking Soda
48 Milk Chocolate Kisses (9oz. pkg.) unwrapped
Granulated Sugar

Cream shortening and peanut butter, gradually add sugar and brown sugar. Add egg, milk, vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, blending thoroughly. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 to 12 min. Remove from oven and immediately place milk chocolate kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that cookie cracks around the edge. Remove from cookie sheet and cool.
