3 cups sugar
½ cup shortening
2 sticks butter or margarine
¼ tsp salt
5 large eggs
1 small can evaporated milk (add water to make 1 cup)
3 cups flour
2 TBSP vanilla, butter & nut flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar & salt. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flavoring. Add flour & milk alternately,ending with flour. Bake in greased tube pan, 1 hour and 45 minutes in 325 degree oven. Star tin cold oven. Do not open oven door while baking. Remove from pan immediately.
