1 2/3 c granulated sugar
2/3 c evaporated milk
2 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups (4oz) miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 c (9oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
crushed hard peppermint candy

Combine first 4 ingredients in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full, rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil stirring constantly, for 4-5 minuets. Remove from heat.
Stir in marshmallows, chocolate, vanilla extract and peppermint extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
Pour into foil-lined, 8-inch-square baking pan; cook for 1 minute. Top with candy, pressing in slightly.
Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into pieces.
