1/2 c shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs well beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 c cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/4 c buttermilk
1 c bananas mashed
1/2 c pecans

Divinity Icing:
2 c sugar
2 T white karo
1/2 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy, add bananas, then flour with soda and powder.

Icing:
Mix and boil all ingredients until threads. Add to two stiffly beaten egg whites.
