2 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
buttermilk
3 T. clear bacon dripping
3 T. flour
milk
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, powder, salt and sugar. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until it is a light fine meal. Add enough buttermilk to make a soft dough. Roll dough on a floured board. Cut with a two inch biscuit cutter. Bake on well-greased cookie sheet in a 450º oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Cream gravy directions: Combine bacon drippings and flour in heated skillet for a minutes or two. Slowly add milk, cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Season with salt and pepper.
