1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup quick cooking oats
2 beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Icing
1 stick butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup coconut
1/4 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over butter and quick oats. Mix and let stand 20 minutes. Add remaining cake ingredients. Mix by hand and pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
For icing mix ingredients together in saucepan and bring to a boil. Spread on cake. Place under broiler and broil till it bubbles. About 1 - 2 minutes. Watch carefully.
