1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Cranberry Sauce
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound ground smoked ham
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup cracker crumbs
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 bay leaves

Directions:
Directions:
spread sugar over bottom of greased loaf pan. Mash cranberry sauce and spread over sugar. Combine remaining ingredients, except bay leaves. Shape into loaf and place on cranberry sauce. Place bay leaves on top of loaf. Bake in moderate over (350ºF) about 1 hour. Remove bay leaves before serving.
