2 cups sugar
2 cups light karo syrup
dash salt
1/2 cup butter
2 cups evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 1st 3 ingredients in large heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally. Bring to 310 degrees. Add butter and slowly stir in milk (it will foam ). Stir
constantly and cook rapidly to 246 degrees. Remove from heat and add vanilla. If mixture curdles beat a minute or 2. Pour into 8 x 8 buttered dish. Score when partly cool;. Cool completely before cutting
