6 SMALL NEW POTATOES
1 SMALL BAG BABY CARROTS
1 MEDIUM ONION CUT INTO CHUNKS
3 STRIPS BACON, FRIED CRISP
2 TBSP BACON DRIPPINGS

LAYER VEGETABLES IN POT. ADD 1 CUP WATER AND SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE. BRING TO A BOIL THEN TURN DOWN TO A SIMMER. HALFWAY THROUGH COOKING, TURN VEGETABLES IN POT AND COOK UNTIL TENDER.

COUSIN FAYE GAVE ME THIS RECIPE. SHE WAS ALWAYS SUCH A GOOD COOK AND AN ARTIST BUT SHE'S LOSING MORE OF HER EYESIGHT DAY BY DAY. IT'S HEARTBREAKING.
