1 stick butter
13/4 c. sugar
4 eggs; well beaten
5 medium bananas; mashed
11/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add bananas, nuts and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour and soda until well blended. Pour into prepared loaf or bundt pan and bake at 350º for 1 hour or until inserted knife comes clean

I got this recipe from a cookbook that Neeley gave to me. I always buy too many bananas and they start turning black. When that happens I put them in the freezer and when I get 5 saved I make this bread. The cookbook that Neeley gave me is the "Persnickety Cooks".
