1 SHANK PORTION OR BUTT PORTION SMOKED HAM
1 CAN ROOT BEER OR DR. PEPPER
1 REGULAR CAN PINEAPPLE RINGS (JUICE REMOVED AND SET ASIDE)

GLAZE

PINEAPPLE JUICE FROM CAN OF PINEAPPLE ABOVE (SHOULD BE 1/2 CUP)
1/2 CUP ORANGE JUICE
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1 TSP. GROUND CLOVE
1/2 CUP MAPLE SYRUP

PREHEAT YOUR OVER TO 350 DEGREES
TAKE HAM OUT OF THE PACKAGE. LET DRAIN WELL. SECURE PINEAPPLE SLICES WITH TOOTHPICKS TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE HAM. POUR SOFT DRINK IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BAKING DISH. COVER THE HAM SECURELY WITH ALUMINUM FOIL. PUT IT IN THE OVEN AND LET COOK FOR 2 HOURS.
IN A SAUCE PAN ADD THE PINEAPPLE JUICE, ORANGE JUICE, BROWN SUGAR, CLOVE AND MAPLE SYRUP. COOK ON MEDIUM UNTIL MIXTURE HAS THICKENED SLIGHTLY, ABOUT 15 MINUTES. REMOVE THE HAM FROM THE OVEN. POUR OUT ALL THE COOKING LIQUID. POUR THE GLAZE OVER THE HAM. PUT IT BACK IN THE OVEN UNCOVERED FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES BASTING, EVERY 10 MINUTES, WITH THE GLAZE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE BAKING DISH. REMOVE FROM THE OVEN AND LET REST FOR 15 MINUTES. CARVE AND ENJOY
