Ingredients: 1-2 Refrigerated biscuits (baked according to directions) or double batch of hand-made biscuits 1 pkg. mild sausage 1 pkg. hot sausage 1/2 gallon of milk (can substitute cream for milk) 10 heaping T. flour 2 T. sage 2 t. sea salt 1 t. pepper

Directions: |
Directions:Fry sausage in large frying pan. While cooking meat, season with sage, salt and pepper. When meat is done, sprinkle flour over meat and incorporate until flour can no longer be seen. Turn heat up to medium-high and get meat to sizzle a bit before turning heat back down to medium. Pour about 1/2 of milk in and slowly stir until mixture starts to boil. Gradually add in remaining milk while stirring occasionally and gravy is at a steady boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Stir a couple more times so gravy does not burn until temperature of gravy comes down. Add additional milk, if you prefer gravy to be less thick. |

Notes: If you prefer a more spicy gravy, use 2 pkgs. of hot sausage. Or, if you can, use sage seasoned sausage and then add less sage into mixture when frying up meat. Pour hot gravy over 2-3 broken biscuits and enjoy! Great for breakfast any time of the year but this dish really sticks to your ribs when it's a cold fall or winter morning.
