1 pound bulk pork sausage
1/2 c. water
1 carton (24 oz.) cottage cheese
1 to 2 T. dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
9 uncooked lasagna noodles
3 c. shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 jar (26 oz) spaghetti sauce
2 eggs, beaten
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and water. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Meanwhile in a large bowl, combine the eggs, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley and seasonings.
Spread 1/2 c. meat sauce in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Layer with three noodles, a third of the cheese mixture, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover, bake 10 minutes longer or until noodles are tender. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Yield: 12 servings.
