1 1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 c butter, softened
3 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 c sour milk*
1 c wild blueberries or 1 1/2 c cultivated

*Add 1 Tbsp cider vinegar to 1 c fresh milk or use buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, egg and butter together until fluffy. Sift the flour baking soda, and salt together and gradually beat into the butter mixture along with the vanilla and milk. Beat cake batter until smooth. Stir in berries.

Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch cake pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes.

I found this recipe about 25 years ago and everyone loves it. I often pour the batter into large muffin tins to make individual servings.
