3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup orange juice
1 cup cooking oil
4 eggs
4 apples, peeled and cored

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Into mixing bowl sift together flour, 2 cups sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and add orange juice, oil and eggs. Beat well.

Pour half the batter into a well greased, tube pan. Slice half the apples over the batter and sprinkle with half the sugar-cinnamon mixture.(If apples are large, use 4; if small, you'll need 6 for this cake.)

Add rest of batter, and top with remaining apples and sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake in preheated 350º oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until cake is done.
