1 angel food cake
1 (12 oz) pkg chocolate chips
4 eggs, separated
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp sugar
1 pt whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt Chocolate chips, remove from heat, cool slightly add beaten egg yolks. Beat egg whites, add sugar, fold in chocolate mixture. Fold in whipped cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Butter pan (9 x 13). Break cake in slices, put in bottom of pan. Pour 1/2 of chocolate mix over cake slices, then layer cake, chocolate mix. Whip cream may be served on top. Refrigerate overnight.

This was one of my mother favorite desserts and she made it for special dinners like Easter or company suppers (with her in laws). You have lots of dishes to clean up but the dessert is heavenly.
