2 Pecks of ripe tomatoes
4 c. of vinegar
8 c. sugar
12 Mangoes, chopped (green or red bell peppers, these were called mangoes in that area of the country)
8 oz. mixed spice
24 onions
8 whole cloves
8 Tbsp.. salt
8 sticks cinnamon

Combine all ingredients and boil until thick, then seal in jars. Jean says: "You can half this recipe"

Editors note: I imagine the tomatoes should be skinned, but she did not mention that in her note. She probably thought Kate would know to do that.
