1 1/4 c sugar
1 stick Butter flavored Crisco Shortening
2 eggs
1/4 c light corn syrup
1 Tbsp vanilla
3 c flour, divided
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar and shortening in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, syrup and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Combine 3 c flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to shortening mixture, beating at low speed until well blended. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces; shape each into a small ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Heat oven to 375ºF. Sprinkle about 1 tbsp flour onto large sheet of wax paper. Place dough ball in center and roll with rolling pin. Use cookie cutters to cut dough into desired shapes. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle with granulated decorative sugars and bake for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Do not overbake. Cool for 2 minutes on cookie sheet before transferring to wax paper to cool. Wait until cookies are completely cooled before decorating with icing.
