1 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
dash of salt
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300º
Cream butter and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and stir in sifted dry ingredients. Form into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for about 20 min.

I use the cookie press by Wilton. It has interchangable die cuts so you can make Christmas trees and different shapes. I also use sprinkles. I sprinkle them before they go into the oven so the sprinkles stick to the cookie.
