1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
3/4 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
2 cups (2 medium) peeled, finely chopped apples
1 cup chopped nuts.
GLAZE:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2-3 tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º F. Generously grease and flour 12-cup tube pan. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In large bowl, blend all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, soda, oil, vanilla, and egg with 1 cup apples; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, stir in remaining apples and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 325º F. for 50-60 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan 15 minutes; turn onto serving plate. Cool. In small bowl, blend glaze ingredients until smooth; Spoon over cake.
