1 c. cooked prunes
Prune juice and water (boiling to make 1 c.)
1/2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. salt
1 yeast cake dissolved
3 c. (scant) flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 T. melted shortening in 1 c. warm water
1/4 c. nut meats

Directions:
Directions:
Drain juice from 1 c. cooked prunes and add boiling water to make one cup, bring to boil and pour over rolled oats. Add sugar, salt, shortening and yeast cake dissolved in 1/2 c. water. Add flour and mix thoroughly, put in clean greased bowl and let rise until double in bulk. Add nut meats and punch down. Cut in small rounds and place in greased muffin tins. Let rise double. Bake 15 - 20 minutes at 425º.

This is a typed recipe from Nammy. I don't know how old it is. First I don't think we would eat this, second some of the ingredients are different and third the directions are old school. Enjoy!
