1/2 lb. butter
1 large onion (chopped)
1 lb. can crabmeat
1 pint milk
8 tbsp. flour
salt
pepper
Thyme
Marjoram
Cayenne
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Put crab meet in pan. Spread loosely. Put in 325º oven to dry out. Melt butter in 4-6 quart pan. Saute onions in butter until they start to brown. Cook with lid on pot. Strain out onions and discard. Into pot with butter add the flour to make a thick paste. Cook on low heat so that flour does not brown. Add salt, pepper, cayenne, pinch of thyme and marjoram. Mix. Bring milk to a slight boil in small pot. Mix in with other ingredients, stirring constantly. Add crabmeat. Combine egg yolk, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Stir this into crabmeat mixture thoroughly. Put all ingredients into butter bowl.
