2 T. cocoa
1/2 cup plain flour
2 egg yolks
1 T. butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 2/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir sugar, flour and cocoa. Add milk gradually, mixed with egg yolks. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add salt, butter and vanilla. Pour into baked crusts and chill.

Meringue: Beat 2 egg whites; add 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp. cream of tarter. Beat until stiff. Bake at 325º until slightly browned.

Makes 1 large pie when doubled. Makes 3 regular crusts or 2 deep crusts.
