1 ham bone
6 med. potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 med. head of cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
1 lb. carrots, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 med. rutabaga, peeled and chopped into bite-sized pieces
2 med. onions, peeled and rough chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
water

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large stockpot. Add enough water to cover the vegetables. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook for two hours.
