Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 med onion chopped
1/2 med green pepper chopped
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 - 1 t crushed red pepper flakes
1 T ground cumin
2 10 3/4 oz cans tomato soup (use good brand)
32 oz chicken broth or stock
29 oz can crushed tomatoes
4 - 5 T chili powder or to taste
1/2 - 1 t black pepper
1 t salt
2 15 oz cans kidney beans
1 15 oz can pinto beans
couple pinches baking soda
cheddar cheese shredded
sliced green onions
saltine crackers.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook ground beef, onions, green pepper and garlic till beef is browned and vegetables are soft. Add remaining ingredients except cheese, green onions and crackers. Simmer about 1 hour or till desired consistency. This is not a real thick chili. If you want it thicker you can decrease the amount of chicken broth and can add another can of beans. Top each serving with cheddar cheese and green onions. Serve with crackers.
