Directions:
Combine all ingredients except preserves, season to taste with pepper. Mix well and place in 5 or 6 cup lightly greased mold. Refrigerate until firm for several hours or overnight.

To serve, unmold and fill center with strawberry preserves, put cheese on cracker and top with strawberry preserves. Unique taste. Don't have to use the preserves but that's what makes it so good.

Personal Notes:
Our family used to have this at Christmas. The strawberry flavor is so great and the kids loved it. Iv'e served for company many times and people a bit leary of the jam..but once they try it, they love it. It's a reciepe from a Special Olympic Cook book that famous people added their receipes. This one is from Rosalynn Carter..hense the name " Plains" Georgia you know..I have made it into a ball at times.
