3 1/2 cups flour plus 1/3 cup of flour
1 1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tbsp yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups butter

Directions:
Directions:
Make a butter dough of 1/3 cup flour and 1 1/2 cups of butter. Blend with pastry mixer and refrigerate. Dissolve yeast in scalded lukewarm milk. Add eggs and sugar. THen add flour and beat until smooth. Knead and roll on a floured surface into a 14in x 14in square. Roll out butter dough between wax paper. Place on top of regular dough. FOld over three times and roll out again. Fold over two more times. Let stand in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Slice into pieces and let rise. Fill with jam or nuts and frost with confectionery sugar glaze. Cook at 375º until golden brown. watch carefully.
